How does one go about getting a method?

I have a method for cycling. It's:

Right foot down
Left foot down
Repeat

It's called the markymark method.
 
Seriously the wiping after lubing is not necessary. An aersol spray if handled well can get into spaces and uses less oil. Just makes sure that you turn the pedal so that the flow covers all areas without wasting the spray. With 11 speed and closer gears, I would suggest slide plates need to be covered as well.

I am with wiping the chain clean prior to lube but after that its going into hair splitting territory. I gave up on dry lube when I realised that its needs more and frequent. Without dry lube, it just means that as you wipe there will be more gunk. Anyway you are wiping, just a little extra.
