Longest single trip yet yesterday. 30 miles (exactly 30 as well, oddly!) with only a one minute nose-blow stop. I wanted to keep above 10mph to do it in 2.5 hrs max. Managed 2hrs 20mins. Speed slowed dramatically for the last four miles which were......er.......undulating (live in the Fens so I can't claim hilly!) and my legs were just knackered.

I got 3/4 mile from home and the Garmin told me to turn round and go back....I swore at it

Metric half century next, only another 3 miles so should be do-able...??^_^

And I had a lovely warm head what a difference a skull cap makes!

Anyway, just wanted to share cos I'm a little bit chuffed :bicycle:

Fantastic.

I find swearing at the Garmin always works well too.

Nice

Well done.

Just being a teeny bit pedantic, you only need 1.08 miles extra to achieve the metric half century not 3.;)

Even better :-)

Extremely well done. You'll nail that metric half ton easily next time out. Just remember to recover properly.
