I don't mind the jewellery (what can I say, I like darts!), but the whisky gaffe is inexcusable.

Yes, in User482 world, whisky gaffes like that would have you up against the wall.

What's your tipple? I have a bottle of Macallan in at the moment, but my favourites are Talisker, Highland Park & Bruichladdich (sp?). Lagavulin is also great if you're in the mood.

Generally summat from Islay, though I also like Highland Park and other Island drams.
Currently enjoying an independent bottling of Bunnahabhain. And no, I don't look like Bobby George!

It's a 16 year old Lagavulin I have on my desk

I like lots and lots of different whiskies. Can only drink it on it's own though in the house.

If I drink whisky after a night on the beer and wine it is like someone shooting me with a tranquiliser! So always just stick to a couple of drams of an evening when I'm in the mood.

I tried a McGibbons bottling of Bunnahabhain a couple of weeks back, and liked it a lot.

I'm not keen on the Elizabeth Duke look. I used to wear more, but now I just have one plain silver thumb ring.

Watch and plain wedding band.

I'm not into tattoos either but that's probably for another thread.

That said, on the right person, jewellery can look quite good. But in moderation. A necklace on a man can be excusable. Bracelets don't really look right to me on men. Earrings also are generally a no-no but can look good if you have the right 'tude (Ronnie Wood for example).

What an idiot. You need something way stronger tasting than Coke to drown the flavour of whisky. Bleach, perhaps. xx(

Hmmm. Jewellery. I don't like the chunky gold second hand car salesman look, but I do wear a stone onna thong round my neck, wedding ring and one earring. I used to have dozens of silver bangles, three more earrings and a nosering, but they all had to go in the name of Looking Respectable. Which annoys the hell out of me because a woman in my position would probably be able to get away with it.

Ho hum...

I have a plain wedding ring, that I only wear at the weekend etc as I hate rings. That's it. I don't even own a watch that works. Why bother, everyone else has one.
