I've had this jar for about 2 years. It's ok stuff that tastes and spreads like Marmite.

Why?

The 'error' people make is putting too much on, all it needs is a thin smear too much and even a fan like myself finds it gross.

It's also a 'secret ingredient' in many of my sauces/stews and pies not to mention gravy along with a dash of 'Bertie'*

Tip - mix marmite with soft cheese or butter, then spread this on your toast. It's easier to spread and thins it out.

Oh, and no supply problems here, I've got 2 jars in the cupboard.

This spreads quite well on toast if you can’t get the normal jar.

Mar mite from Birmingham moved to the Yeast Midlands. His ex tract of land was turned into a micro factory that helped address the Great Black Country Marmite Shortage of '99.

Currently trying Aldi's cheap yeast extract... it's not as strong or as stodgy as Marmite but it's OK for the price.

I have some every blue moon,as they say. I'm one of the very few who neither love not loathe it.

Same here Accy, I have a small jar in the cupboard and I'll occasionally (like once a month) enjoy a bit on toast, but I'm not huge on it. It's okay.
