Peanut butter is the toe jam of satan . I have tried multiple types , makes and they are all without question 'kin orrible. And I like andouille sausage !

get some fresh crusty white bread .... add a decent amount of butter to both slices of the bread (has to be butter and not margarine or olive spread etc) .....

add a thick spread of smooth peanut butter to one side. On the other bread slice add a good amount of Lyle's Golden Syrup .... close the sandwich, cut and enjoy ....

if ever your children are sick and dont want to eat, try them with one of these (if you don't have syrup, honey is just as good ...

True. And unless it's something you're familiar with, there's a reasonable chance of it being absolutely disgusting. Ever had a Hershey bar? Horrid things.

American confectionery is, on the whole, excruciatingly sweet. xx( Hence the more-or-less general avoidance. Heck, I find Cadbury's Dairy Milk too sweet as well...

When I snack, it tends to be savoury.

On the other hand, I have some great recipes for peanut butter cookies
If you want a golden syrup sandwich then stop messing around with peanut butter and go for a condensed milk and Tate and Lyle toastie, but you need a Breville-style sandwich maker and heroic quantities of butter to seal it properly. Elvis would've loved them!
peanut butter and syrup sandwiches are a South African favourite ....

if as a child, you've never tasted the combo with peanut butter and syrup, slap your mother as children love it and it tastes better than chocolate cake

I also like peanut butter and Marmite together in a sandwich, it's nice but not as nice as peanut butter and tomato ketchup in a sandwich. It's got to be crunchy peanut butter though, smooth peanut butter would just be wrong.
