Sorry but crumpets are for butter and butter only no cheese no marmite no jam or peanut butter nothing ! I love all the afore mentioned things but no not with crumpets.
Peanut butter is the toe jam of satan . I have tried multiple types , makes and they are all without question 'kin orrible. And I like andouille sausage !Mr Sainsbury's Emporium of Toothy Comestibles used to sell peanut butter with Marmite stripes.

Mmmm peanuts , yes. Peanut butter . NO.FWIW I also have no love of peanut butter (a big staple over here). While I love peanuts in shells, the claggy mouthfeel of peanut butter puts me off. If I have some peanut butter even more than once a year, that's unusual for me -and like I said, I love peanuts!
This may sound disgusting but I recommend you also butter the crumpet before adding the marmite and cheese and popping back under the grill. Very messy but OMG!!!!!Toast a crumpet add Marmite and cheese .Pop under grill till cheese melts.
Yummy or depending on your taste buds bl@@@@dy orrible
Only a little bit guilty for finishing the whole packet. And that was tempered by remembering that the packet came from a shelf in Sainsbury's right next to some beef jerky. Little packets costing £1.55. Which when I squeezed them, only seemed to have a few pieces in. And then I saw the unit price on the shelf label - £5/100g. which means £50 per kilo!!!!Do you feel a rush of euphoria tempered with a sense of guilt and self-loathing? Or is that just me?
Morrisons now have a shelf for imported American sweets. So you can get peanut butter M&Ms, peanut butter Twix, peanut butter Snickers... you can get peanut butter loads of stuff.Oh dear, Waitrose do the nuts. And the rice cakes. And I have to cycle past there on my way home...
However, if I do not show any restraint, I will revert to being the size of a small house again.
But on the other hand, Wilkinsons now stock peanut butter M&Ms...![]()

True. And unless it's something you're familiar with, there's a reasonable chance of it being absolutely disgusting. Ever had a Hershey bar? Horrid things.Tescos has American stuff in as well, but while it's easily get-able, the price tag is a pretty good deterrent.![]()

I know, but I happened to have a crumpet left. There was something about the warm gooey sogginess that you wouldn't quite get from a pizza.
