They followed the Tour de France, camping along the way.
Fully loaded bikes and in their cardigans and canvas shorts.
That's them at the top of Col du Galibier.
My old man 'upgraded' his bike to a 5 speed for the trip! It was either a Hobbs of Barbican which he still has or an earlier one, can't quite remember.
He still says "why do you need all those gears" and suggests my 80's bike has "New fangled technology".
