Looking at these to clean the windows as the window cleaner uses those pole devices and tbh the result is rubbish , has anyone have any experience with them ?
Usual double glazed windows.

The window cleaner here uses the pole thinking thinking and charges me £30.

I bought the same kit for £100 and do it myself.

Never see an magnetic doobrey cleaner like that before.

30 quid
I have a big house with an extension plus a conservatory and he only charges me 12 quid. And he does a good job of it.

if you're 15 floors up - how do you get the outside one on then off ?

Mines a 3 storey with lots of glass, and being Poshshire he probably thinks I'm a professional footballer or reality tv star.

You sound like you must have been wearing a kind of X looking insignia on your epaullettes or had a side hustle from the sound of it. Police officer living in posshire? Must have been one doing the telling not the doing! ^_^

My FiL has one of the "robot" ones, you just stick on the window and it crawls around and does its thing. Yes it has a safety rope in case it loses suction. Hes very pleased with it. It takes its time, but then if youre retired your have plenty of time.

You can get those magnetic things for cleaning inside a fish tank, if for some reason you feel unable to put your hand in water. FFS.

How tenuous is the magnetic 'grip' through double or triple glazing, i wonder?

When i bought windows, i made sure they opened in a way they could be easily cleaned from inside.

Can you reach with a mop/squeegee on a stick from a nearby window? We've done this to clean the frames, sills and windows of our Daughter's house. Similarly to cut in the paint on the walls and ceiling on the stair drop I screwed a paint brush to a length of 2x1 timber and 'did it from a distance' - saved the time, danger and bother of ladders.
