Why on earth was that driver not prosecuted? That is a clear case of driving without care and attention. Insurance companies should get tougher with liars like this, refuse to insure her would make it near imposssible for her to get cover again.

I've just watched this as it was shared on farcebook. Horrible moment, and the usual victim-blaming comments, though plenty in the cyclists defence. Perhaps more than there would have been in the past. Always plenty of people to defend the indefensible out there...

I'm sure the driver saw the cyclist. They are simply part of the majority who think cyclists are all doing 10mph, so will chance a dangerous manoeuvre based on that subconcious speed/distance calculation. It's one of the reasons you still get idiots overtaking cyclists doing 30 in a 30 zone.
