As has been said earlier, we're all desperately keen to get out riding but, having come off on ice last year, I am trying hard to discipline myself not to go out until the temperature is 5 deg C and has been so for a few days, just to make sure the ice has gone.

At my age and stage, it takes too long to recover from bruises/ breakages for me to risk it.

... and I

my bike too much to risk damaging it (again

) !

Glad to hear you are all right, PW - are there any 'medical conditions' (like not riding for 48 hrs) suggested/ instructed by the doc following a concussion ?

ibuprofen and rest , last time i had concussion if its your first or youve nobody at home its a particular nasty knock they keep you in for observation and basically the same treatment ,

doctor said no cycling or exorcise for a week at least and ive got follow up at doctors surgery with nurse on monday

watch out for sleepiness nausea dizzy spells etc , i had it all before so wasnt too concerned when i had it again , avoid alchohol etc

watch out for blurred vision slurred speech these arent good signs and can be a sign of serious injury i threw out pamphlet they gave me think it mightve been an x ray one or head trauima not sure .

hence im at home on friday night lol .

im planning on cycling again next week and weathers improved yay .
