I bought the cheapest women's mitts at evans, which were LG. Replaced them with some £30/40 PI mitts, that were a disaster. got a second pair of the cheapass LG mitts, and they saw me fine around 1100 ride and still going. A little bit flat now, so reverted the first pair.

I have an LG jersey. It is my second best in terms of quality. Second only to a much more expensive one! I've had it a number of years and it is as good as new.
As @Rob3rt states, LG is a smart company. They are not some no-name, Evans own brand only kit. It is a great shame some of their kit is only at Evans in the UK.
They are well-respected and have a huge North American presence. They also supply Europcar, the Pro-tour team.

I went into Evans today with the intention of buying a pair of Specialized BG Mitts. After trying on almost every pair of mitts there and umming and aahhing a lot, I walked out with a pair of these - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/louis-garneau/flare-gloves-ec057911

Had some LG overshoes that lasted ages and took some bashing. Must buy some in tbe summer when pricea are cheap
