Went out this morning and every time I turned the peddle I got a loud creaking noise, I know it's not the wheels as they were brand new hand builds today, it only happened when I pushed down on the pedal and not when I peddled used the up stroke, if that makes any sense?

The bike is only 6 months old and done a couple of thousand miles and is a BB30 if that helps, any advice gratefully received , thanks Mick

I had a creaking noise a couple of weeks ago & I was convinced it was peddle or wheel related but it turned out to be the seat so may be worth checking that out.

My Look Keo's used to creak. Solution was to put a tiny bit of grease on the contact points with the cleats. I had done a few thousand miles on them though. If the bike, pedals and shoes are all new then I would check everything is tight and if necessary take it back to lbs.

Get yourself a pedal spanner and some grease.

Unscrew the pedals (keep them apart and marked up L & R) then lightly grease the threads of the pedals and the threads in the crank arms.

Reassemble.

I will attack the pedals first as they were not on the bike, if that does not sort it I will take it in as all parts other than the frame have a 12 month warranty, I hope it's the pedals really as I don't want to have to take it in.
