Keep up the good work & don't get too down if you have a week without losing anything. I've been trying over the last 18 months & have been losing 1 or 2 lbs a week, but some weeks not losing anything, & the odd week gaining a lb or 2, but overall I'm down 3 1/2 stone  sure it was a damn sight easier to go on

To be honest, the success stories, (like yours), that I have read on this forum have given me the motivation to keep going!

i've often found it hard to keep my motivation, but this year I promised myself I'd ride every day, no excuses, partly inspired by Steve Abraham, & I'm a bit of a stubborn old fool & when I say I'm going to do something, I normally do ^_^ I think so far this year there has only been 2 or 3 rides that I haven't actually enjoyed once I've gone out, which isn't bad considering I must be around day 230??

Well Done,
You are now on the road to recovery,

Remember diet and exercise work together,

Try not, to do too much to soon,

The same as your diet .
Food, have little and offended,

Exercise, mixed it up with running swimming and cycling,

What I do, and it works for me,
Is that, I run one mile every day, no more or no less. It only takes 10 minutes.

Cycling to work every day, as it's only 7 miles each way.

I find this is enough exercise .Along with a good clean diet,
I am losing my weight slowly.

I wish you all the best.

5kg in 3 to 4 weeks is rather faster than a lot of places recommend. I am on a diet at the moment with a target of 0.5kg/week.
True, but the first couple of weeks often show bigger losses then people settle down to 1lb or so a week. I lose 1lb a week, or so. 11lb in the first month is quite normal.

Well done on your loss so far @TheSalisburyTeacher. Keep up the good work. Exercise and a change of eating habits go hand in hand when trying to lose weight. You are on the right track.
