Loose Cleats

I hope someone is able to help me!

The screws that hold my cleats to my shoes keep coming loose. It doesn't matter how hard I screw them in they keep unscrewing them selves. I went on a 46 mile ride last weekend and they had became so loose by the time I got home I had great difficulty unclipping myself from the pedal.

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem and there is a solution or if its a problem with my shoes. The shoes are Spiuk ZS11 with Look Arc cleats.

Any advise appricated.

Never happened to me but try blue loctite.

Try threadlock, you should only need the weak or medium stuff.

you don't think you have striped the thread in the plate per chance?

Looks odd (bad pun)

I use this rule for anything bike related torque

Girl tight (fail)
Man tight (Correct)
Gorrilla tight (Fail)

No the thread looks ok, plus the shoes are only a couple of months old .

blue loctite needed.. or the screws are the incorrect size for the shoe

I'd be tempted to get new cleats or at least new screws

When pay day comes around, I shall be getting these:

I shall be able to do them up and not have to worry about corrosion making it impossible to undo them.

I have used Blue Lictite. Not, been on a long ride yet to test it.
