Well maybe not imminently, but, my LBS only had a single set in stock and advised that Shimano do not make XTR any more.
Looks like v-brakes are on their way out.

Well Dura-Ace bar end and down tube shifters are still available, so I can see them staying with V's.
I doubt we'll lose v-brakes any time soon though, you can still buy old centre-pull callipers and I'm not sure if any bikes have had them specced from new for years

Seems like v brakes are moving into the road bike arena, the ridely noah that pro`s are using have what looks to me like a v brake sitting behind the fork for aerodynamics.
