Unless you are going off road then you do not need suspension .
Both the decathlon and carreara bikes are very good bikes, i had a subway 1 for a few years before i went purely "racing " bike and it was a great bike, bombproof and you could stick a rack + mudgaurds on to make commuting easier.

Has 700 c wheels like a road bike for less rolling resistance..
Very similar but from halfords , has the mounts this time for rack

Both my bikes i use are carrera and although some of the halfords stuff can be dodgy the carrera + boradman range tend to be very good.If have a decathlon they are very highly rated and in general have staff who have more idea on repair so i would go for a decathlon if i did not know much about bike set up and repair.
