Looking for a cycling club, group, pals in Glasgow (Erskine) area

I'm currently resident in Canada and returning home to Scotland for good in 2017 (where the pubs are better). I'm a young guy approaching retirement who regularly cycles road. I cycle around 200K per week (when there is no snow and work permits), average speeds 24-26 kph. I've also recently started track cycling. I'm looking for a group of cyclists or club to hook up with. I will be living in the Erskine area.

I will be back in Scotland in July 2016 (and possibly August) and will have a bike with me. I would love to get out with someone.

Welcome ! Can't promise those speeds, but in the cafe section there is an irn bru thread where we talk cycling and general nonsense. Likely to find club suggestions for Glasgow there

Sorry don't know of any cycle clubs in Erskine, and the OP's pace is somewhere north of my usual dawdle and numerous refueling stops!

+1 for the West Coast Velo suggestion. Johnstone Wheelers I guess is the nearest "proper" club.

Always nice to ride with the ladies. My daughter rides with me regularly. The wife kept falling off and breaking bones, so we leave her at home now encased in bubble wrap.

I took a drive round Arran last year. Lots of riders out. Would like to do that this year.
