Here's the stuff Andy. Tremendous value and the best aerosol rust preventative I've ever used - it knocks ACF50 into a cocked hat.

Sadlymit might not be so easy to source in Deutschlamd.

It's astonishingly easy and effective on cars.

I'll be doing the van over the summer. It's super clean underneath. Been offered a 'discount' on a professional job by folk that do imports (son's mates) but for £150 with a load of spray sheep oil, I'll go for it. Bit stinky I believe.

You used to be able to buy sheeps wool padding to prevent blisters. Apparently two ladies doing a long backpacking trip got blisters and out of desparation packed some sheeps wool caught on barbed wire into their socks. Instant relief and the product was conceived!!

I used to have a densely knitte woolley pully with all the sheep oils (lanolin) still in there. It got a little stinky when wet but it was great softshell layer for those cold winter days in the fells when it was snowing but cold enough not to melt on you. I needed no waterproof over that in those conditions. As I dropped dowhn lower though I had to brush snow off or it would melt and refreeze when going back above the freezing air temp layer. I would then be stuck with ice on the wool.

Sorry I digress. Lanolin is an amazing product and to think the sheep produce their own!!

Is (or any solvent in it) ok for use where polyester GRP is present? I'm thinking of use on parts of my kit cat .. waxoyl is likely to attack GRP I believe.

Yes, there's a solvent but the manufacturers are tight lipped as to exactly what.

It's safe on rubber and most plastic so the odds are good, but I couldn't say for sure.

Clearly not something I ever read because I'm not intending to drink it or spray it in my eyes. In all the years of buying sprays and stuff I've never received such a thing.

See what you make of it...

I have to collect (usually download) safety sheets for all the chemicals we use, even the dishwashing soap, and keep them on file for inspection in the main office. As my last workshop was a long way from the main office, I kept copies in the workshop too.
