Also remember that turbos are hard as you don't have the luxury of freewheeling when needing a breather and you don't have the fresh air to cool you down.
If you do what I do and don't heat the ground floor of the house, that is overkill!A big fan is essential, top tip, freeze a couple of bottles of water and stand them in front of the fan to get an even cooler breeze.

I came very close to throwing up on the bike once. I got a younger colleague into cycling and for a few months I was fitter than him, but eventually his fitness caught up and then his relative youth began to tell. One evening after work we set off up the Cragg Vale climb and he wound up the pressure right from the foot of the climb in Mytholmroyd. It got harder and harder to stay with him and by the time we got to the reservoir at the top I had tunnel vision, a maxed out heart rate and was very close to hurling. I suppose that is what time triallists do themselves every time they race!Maybe found his max heart rate or he's got the winter bug going round!![]()
