Hi, first post
So I am a seventeen year old women who has a dream to cycle the world in the future but I am looking for someone this August to join me on a scenic 1000 mile rise from London to Madrid on a wholly costal route. I can't face 10+ days on my own but have no one to do it with. I am able to ride 100 miles and am planning on cycling it on a road bike using saddle and frame bags as I travel light ! If you would like to join me or just give me some advice anything would be very much appreciated. Looking to join anyone or a group of people male or Female. Was going to do it from my home town Worcester but realise London is better fit everyone
Than you in advance

Go for it.
But from experience I'd work on 50 miles a day being a good ride, less the first few days and maybe more later.
Once you get to the South of France, in August it can hit 40c+ between 2pm and 4pm, which is unridable.
I would not put for a specific time, or if you have to push for a specific time, then don't go for a target, just head south until you run out of time or money.

For your return (depending on how far you get) check out http://www.bike-express.co.uk/
We came back via this having cycled Paris/Nice/Toulouse/Bordeaux, which was about 1,200 miles in 6 weeks

I think you're under-estimating the distance by 25-50% .......
A rough track I did on Bike Hike came to around 1250 miles.
And that not going around by Cherbourg and Brest.

Luck ........... ^_^

Great stuff. I have been thinking of doing the same ride and was wondering if you have found any joiners? Not yet decided though and subject to other events happening.

Thanks. May sound weired but just no way i will be allowed by my misses to do it alone as she worries too much. Hence, need to get someone to ride with.

HRS, I've just registered because I'll be attempting the EuroVelo 1 in a few weeks time.
Thought I'd mention this here before starting a new post but good luck if you make it.
