England : London London to Brighton Veteran Car run: Sunday 3 November

I’ve been watching threads about this run with interest for years. It’s about time I got off my arris and rode along, so I plan to join at Streatham common (assuming it’s not lashing down 🤞)

Fergs I live near Streatham Common and its where I start from to cycle down to East Croydon. I will probably leave the petrol station on Streatham Common southside about 8 ish to meet others at East Croydon station for 8.30...

If the weather holds I hope to be there. Yep, civilised time - it is still only 9:30 BST ;-)

An-ex CycleChatter tells me The Park Side Cafe in Crawley town centre will be a better rendezvous place than the cafe next to Decathlon that we used last year if (as can happen) the peloton gets split up along the way.

looking forward to seeing peeps at Streatham Common petrol station [ opposite the [Pied] Bull] at 8am ; 10 mins waiting there; then 20 mins down to East Croydon to meet the vintage crew....and on to the seaside...

An alternative in the past (2019) is the local scouts in one of the tents. Delicious big burgers for not a lot - which goes to a good cause. Premium grade fuel.
