I did one on Saturday, a 6 speed on a 30 year old Raleigh, many people say that they can be a pig to get off but I soaked the threads with plenty of penetrating oil, left it to marinate for a bit, using a Shimano freewheel tool and a 24” bar, it came off quite easily using even pressure, I was surprised as there’s every chance it was fitted at Raleigh’s Nottingham factory in 1990, don’t forget to put a smear of grease on the hub threads when you fit the new one
