The commentators on radio Leicestershire Newcastle v Leicester City was from the studios in Leicester from aTV screen They didn’t travel to Newcastle due to the tier four restrictions Glad they showed some sense more so than the players al hugging after they had scored
The players are all tested regularly tho, they don’t play if not clear

Same in Scotland for the top 12 teams. However, the other 30 clubs are allowed to travel, train, play etc with no testing at all.

I am not a fan of football, biggest waste of money/resources in fact don't get me started on what's wrong with it, however if you have 11-2x players on each team all training together, all in the same hotel, same coach (bus) then what does it really matter if they hug,

I broadly agree - assuming good testing and general hygiene etc etc etc.

The problems start with the christmas parties with multiple families mixing. Then the winter "training" trips to Dubai.

As Spokey dokey says above Not a great example Wasn’t there something about avoiding personal contact
Being a carrier without being infected
Carrying infections home to parents family etc

Of course I had forgotten it doesn’t apply to the glitterati

Obviously no lockdown in Kent. Got stuck in traffic jam in Canterbury on my way to work.

The plod turned up at the local park this aft'. A few of us were 'hanging out' in the shelter. They said we shouldn't be congregating in such a 'large group(4 sat/stood around 6 feet apart),especially when indoors'. I pointed out that the shelter has a roof, but no walls,so we weren't 'indoors'.....in a polite way of course. They seemed bamboozled by this and just wandered off.
Looks like you got away with it, unlike these 2 ladies https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-55560814

I did a litter pick the other day. Of the dozens of people marching past on their walks only one had the guts to look me in the eye. I reckon the rest either think I'm a complete nutter or are so embarrassed that they are ignoring the litter that they can't look at me.
The last time that I was doing some path maintenance on an unofficial pedestrian shortcut an older couple came walking along. The woman stopped and after a wee chat said "You'll get your reward in heaven".
I thought, well I hope I have a long wait for it.^_^

From history
The year1664 - Diaries of Samuel Pepys.
'Londoners may soon be urged into their lodgings by Her Majesty's men.'
"I looked upon the streets to see a gaggle of stripplings making fair merry, and no doubt spreading the plague well about. Not a care had these rogues for the health of their elders."
From early last year, 2020.
