Lent my bike to a friend as I was injured and he took my place doing a charity ride... (I know, I know!!!)

Got it back and the forks no longer lock out, so I'm in downhill mode constantly. I think he may have stored my bike upside down as there seems to be some black oil type substance leaked down the pistons of the suspension..

Does this mean my suspension is knackered? Easy fix?

It depends on what is wrong with it and whether the model you have has hydraulic or mechanical lockout. Either way I think you will find this useful.

They look like the same forks as fitted to our work 2007 careers crackens.

The lockout on ours have started to fail necessitating replacement forks.

We have found that som times popping off the blue cap and giving the lockout an extra crank works.
