Lock on MTB Handlebar Grips and Over Thumb Thingies

By 'Lock-On', may I presume that it applies to grips that have a metal clamp at the end of the bar?
Is the grip part of a metal sleeve that 'interference fits' the bars??

I have a pair of (donated) X-Lite bar-ends for SWMBOs Boardman hybrid, to allow different hand positions, & need to remove the grips

Yes. Lock on is that ring which tightens with a hex bolt. My stock ones swivel around the bar but worse: give me hot spots on my palm. Anyhow, I have ordered some me DMR Death Grips (thick) for about £13.00 so I hope that works.

Fairnuff. Might give some a bash I often find myself holding the bars unconventionally. Give PX a month or two and they'll be knocking the Chinese stuff out at a fiver.
