Might be helpful if you linked to the event website?

I had a look and 66 miles with only a tad less than 3000ft of climbing is quite a short, flat ride for a 'sportive'. Closed roads is nice though if you have never experienced it (can be a bit weird if you are a seasoned urban commuter....)

For the uninitiated, the ride in question is Etape Loch Ness (https://www.etapelochness.com/) taking place on the 27th April. It is a fully closed-road sportive (one of only two in the UK this year to my knowledge) and having taken part in a previous installment, I can say it was an absolutely fantastic experience and I'd highly recommend it to anyone - the only issue I had was the hassle in getting my bike up to Inverness in the first place.

And about 40% of that elevation total is in a single climb! Carn an t-Suidhe

Etape Loch Ness is an absolutely cracking ride- well organised and stunning scenery. Highly recommend. I was supposed to ride in April 2020, but it was postponed until August 2021 for.... reasons. If you're going to do a closed road sportive, make it this one. Not Ride London
A few photos of us at the start- along with a cut out of my friend Ellen's head. She was signed up, but couldn't make it for.... reasons.
