Oi, I live in Dewsbury @wiggydiggy so I could be offended. But you're right, anything goes in that paper.

On this occasion though it's the cycling group that's responsible for the slightly dodgy headline, not the newspaper.

The lower headline below the photo seems to suggest visually impaired cyclists were aiming to get up to the mother of all speeds in some bizarre TT, 150 miles in 1 hour, perhaps it's an out and back course to Darlington!!!!

Our chief constable bought a load of medals from Kenny Everett and pretended he'd fought at the Alamo or some such and his misconduct hearing continues tomorrow.

And the police have slapped up a photo of a robbery suspect in the local chipwrapper and are asking the public to identify him. Unfortunately the villain is wearing a balaclava and his face is entirely hidden, so it is unsure how they expect him to be recognised.

I see this morning he's been dismissed for gross misconduct!

Yeah, it's a weird world.

Shame, because in terms of his performance as a CC he was the best we've had in 3 decades, but those porkies were whoppers, no getting away from them. He's daft, because he retired last year and came back a month later - I'd have stayed at home pottering in the garden if I were him.

He should have been like previous five - completely useless and inept and steadfastly run the organisation into the ground while awaiting retirement, then one would have cared. Simply being incompetent goes unchallenged, whereas being good gets you scrutinised.

Still, it's livened up the local news for today.
