It wouldn't be able to fit under some of the lower headroom bridges on the network I suspect which means they probably won't be a continuous cruiser. I have had an idea to build a wheelhouse that folds down for an extra room when moored but still able go everywhere.

Years ago I had a short holiday (just a long weekend really) on a narrowboat. It was a hell of a lot nicer than I imagine sleeping in a car would be!

Good idea like on a Dutch barge? Hinged all the way around with lift off roof. Make the roof out of two layer of 1/4 ply with insulation in-between and it will be light and strong.

I seem to remember that a mini (original version) is a bit cramped with 2 people "sleeping" in it

Seems like my long term memory is working OK then!!
