Got home from work today and got home and the missus was out shopping so decided to fiddle about with the bike a bit.
Its never felt all that great until now. I flipped the stem so now instead of sitting up and closer to the seat its now almost parallel to the ground and a hell of a lot more comfortable. Just proved to me that a little change makes a big difference.

It's true, but I had to flip the stems on my bikes the other way for a more upright position.

I'v got a hybrid Colin so i think upright is a more standard position for most but i find it more comfortable further forward and down.

Well its not if your bike is fitting you fine. I just done it to see if it made a difference for me which it did. I wouldn't do it if your happy with your setup.

so on a hybrid, turning the seat post upsidedown does what? My girlfriend gets pains in one of her knees, tried adjusting the seat height a few times but it's not worked so far
