@ScotiaLass I believe Lidl's cycling event is on.
Their stand is £ 30 - that's what I paid for it a couple of years ago.
It does the job perfectly.

My teacher bike mechanic says bikes should be hung (?) on the stand by their seat post. If seat post is too low, mark position then raise it.

The LiDL one has a diamond-shaped clamp, with clearance at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock so you'll be ok.
