Read a comment on here about someone "lit up like a Christmas tree" (I know he got knocked off) but it got me thinking, so I popped out and bought a couple of sets of flashing arm/leg reflectors. I wore them last night for the first time on my training run of 22 miles. It was dark when I went out and I didn't have one instance of a car overtaking too close! Result, lets hope it last but somehoe I doubt it!

I wear some clear safety glasses whilst I'm riding to protect my eyes from cars pinging stones into my face, but everytimeI got stopped at traffic lights last night they misted up, any ideas how I can prevent this?

I have the same problem, there are lots of anti fog sprays, but they all have the problem of the need to be reapplied often.

I knew from my motorbike days of a product called Fog City, a sticky insert for visors, £10 of Ebay, I bought one and cut it up and then stuck it to the inside of the glasses. There are other inserts some can even be removed but I only have experience of the Fog City.

Having a lorry go past me the other day on a country road and the amount of debris thrown into my face made me glad I was wearing eye protection.

I will have a look for the Fog City stuff, thanks

I can't view YouTube stuff at work.

Couldn't agree more. Eyes are soft an squishy. Condensation is sometimes an issue but once you get rolling again they soon clear. Never used any anti fog stuff on mine, maybe I'll look at that now

My hubby laughed at me when I said I had hot eyeballs :girl: my glasses too steam up. In the winter I smear a drop (only a smidge mind) of fairy liquid over the inside of the lense this sometimes prevents them steaming up. do this on my motor bike visor too. Tip try it on your bathroom mirror!

Glasses are crucial, in the summer I got pinged just above my esy from a stone thrown by a car, i was luck it didn't hit me in the eye. I did spend a long time pulling midges from one eye on one ride when i had forgot my glasses.

I wear one on my right arm. They really do help when indicating across to change lanes and when navigating roundabouts.

I'm always conscious of having too much flashing stuff on my bike as it can confuse motorists just as much as make them aware of me.

Pedal faster to create more airflow.

What I use for my tri swimming goggles is washing them in no-tears baby shampoo. Rinse them under very gentle water just enough for bubbles to stop forming and then let them dry. Best anti-fog solution ever.

Not bothered with my cycling shades as they clear as soon as I start moving again.

I suppose he could take the chain off for a bit of fast pedalling while waiting for the lights to change

On a serious note, I wear glasses all the time and only suffer misting up coming into a warm room from the cold outside. I would look for glasses with a bit more of a gap around the edge top allow the air to flow/heat to escape.

I have prescription wrap arounds for the bike and I have exactly the same problem.  I am off to try the baby shampoo trick

Now I need to work out how to make drivers dip their headlights! Covering my main front light a few times works sometimes but some drivers just completely ignore the fact that their full beam blinds you!
