Does anyone know of lights which have a larger than usual or very adjustable mount, which can be fitted onto (drop) handlebars that are larger than standard in diameter? The light just has to be a decent "I am here" light for use in town, so nothing too expensive is needed. It is just the mount that is the problem.

Any suggestions?

You could try a handlebar extension. Most lights would fit on the extension.

TBH most lights that you get now (well cateye ones) come with a mount which is fully adjustable.

I have a cateye light on oversize bars 31mm I think in the middle where the light is.Theres loads of spare on the strap so could go bigger.

I also have a "Cree Torch" front light. Also on the same bars. Only cost £12 on ebay and is a really good light both on flash for being seen and on solid it lights up a black road really well.

The front handle bar cateye mount has a screw in the part that the light fits into. Since the mount for the '7 Lux Polaris' was to small, i just swapped the part that the light slides into on the 'Cateye' mount, with the '7Lux'.

Weird.
No responses for ages, and suddenly I got some! Forums are funny sometimes...

Thanks for all the suggestions.
