That pretty well sums it up! The rest of it is just connecting up and joining wires which I would advise doing properly (Wago connectors and boxes are great). When I did mine, I twisted them together and used heat shrink, which looks messy and is not the right way to do it (they are still working though). They come with a fairly short wiring tail so to make it look nice it's better to take all the wiring up through the ceiling/loft if you have one, but if not then neatly secured parallel/right angled lines look ok, or you could use trunking to hide it all
