I picked one of these jackets up, vapour, from merlin cycles. It easily fits into my rear pocket. I've only used it a couple of times, so far, in the rain. But it has performed well. As for longevity, only time will tell.

The vapour is an excellent piece of kit. I've got a podium as well which is also excellent for a pack away jacket. I did manage to pick both up for about £50 each as well!

I use both the Montane featherlite and also the Cheap Aldi ones, both of them I find are only showerproof and water eventually soaks through within 30 mins, but I have found, soak them in Fabsil Gold and hang to dry. On an event this year in 5 hours of torrential rain, my Montane was still beading water off at the end of the event with not one bit of seepage. Not bad for a jacket that I have had for about 6 years, totally worn out and leaked like a sieve even after waterproofing with Nik Wax and I was about to replace it with a new one.

I have a large spray can of fabsil for my caravan awning, I might try it although ive had it so long it might have lost its pressure.
