Looks like this could be useful to carry just in case.

Or just carry a much smaller, lighter inner tube?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

I bought a couple of these last year and I have been unable to get any more. I ended up getting a much bigger can / version via the interwebs.

I like to have one of these with me in addition to two inner tubes. I have used a couple of these before (and I always take my litter home). They are fine for a punctures as long as they are small. You don't know what you have when you use one so its trial and error. I only use these as a last resort or if I am in a desperate hurry. You never quite get full pressure, but you are grateful to be able to ride at all if it is raining, dark and cold.

They are small, light and totally fab. I must get over to PIDL

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
There are three common sources of the small ones: £2 ones from Lidl and Aldi in specials and for some time thereafter and a £4 one from zefal. They are very useful when you'd accept a 2-minute get-you-there fix to longer stopping and patching or swapping tubes, without the disadvantages of having sealant in the tube all the time.

I'm going to pop in and get a couple of the £2.99 bike cover bags to use as flight bags, nine quid cheaper than the CTC plastic ones we usually use and should be easier to use and possibly re-usable.

Do they fit presta valves or just Schrader? :pump:

Im not sure where some of you live, but maybe you should move. 2 inner tubes and a can of sealant sounds excessive. But all my bikes but one have Schwalbe Marathons and I cannot remember my last puncture.

I used that type of sealant on a moped years ago. It leaked everywhere, what a mess.

I carry a spare tube and self adhesive patches. My patches are so old I may need to replace them.

I guy turned up for one of our mid-week club runs with only one of those seal/inflate cans, it was worse than useless when he got a puncture and he ended up getting a train home.

don't think there is much difference weight wise they are very small.
These weigh ~91g so much lighter than an MTB inner and a little more than a 'normal' road inner. But larger volume-wise so more difficult to pack.
is it a one shot can?
Yes. Fire and forget/hope.

If you look at the image you may see the schrader to presta adapter at the end of the tube. This is worth carrying anyway in case one needs to use a garage or other schrader only pump.
I bought one of these canisters with sealant a few years ago, but whenever I consider whether to take it with me, I have always reverted to a spare inner (or a second spare inner) and some glueless patches (and maybe a mini repair kit if a multi-day tour).

Obviously not using it right.
Most cars come with these instead of a spare wheel i pulled a nail out of a tyre only yesterday and used one of these sealants which was in the boot on the road again in 10 minutes.
Used one on my daughters car just under a year ago still o/k.

They look like they fit Schrader and ordinary valves only
