is that what people do? suppose theres probably little that can be done, but i'm surprised theres no small print ( like the 'limit X per customer' some supermarkets do on special priced items).

Some years ago when Aldi first hit the streets with it's weekly specials and had a bike kit day, I went in early to get some gear and an Asian man had loaded a trolly. He was just taking armfulls of tops, shorts, jackets. He emptied the display pretty well. However when he got to the checkout so many people were complaining that they refused to allow him to buy that quantity. He left the trolly and stormed out of the store shouting that everyone was rascist and that was the reason for the complaints.

I'm noticing a lot of pound shop items on Ebay lately as well.

I wanted one, but by the time I got there on Monday evening at six o'clock, they had all gone from both Lincoln stores.
Not a happy bunny. Really wanted one of those.

That still happens at both Aldi and Lidl near us, but it's the locals that are trying to clear the place out on the deals. Usually see it at car boots, or on eBay a few days later at a couple of quid or so mark up.

The local Lidl did put a limit on some of the motorcycle kit a bit back, they had battery chargers, the 12v maintenance kind, for a fiver, had sold them the year before and had good reviews, 5 each was the limit, they'd still sold out by 09:10!!!

Just bought one of these, and it appears well worth twice what I paid for it. Very sturdy components, although the clamp is definitely a little odd. So far very pleased indeed. Anyone want me to post photos in the photo gallery?

Couldn't get along with the odd and not very god clamping setup. Took out the Lidle screw affair and replaced it with an old rear wheel axle, works just fine now!

Bought one and very pleased with it.
"You get what you pay for "
What a puerile and unintelligent observation !
If the above was the case no one should be dis pleased with there purchase.
Good gear, buy or borrow one.

I saw one of the stands on Ebay yesterday, Buy-it-Now price of £75, plus postage. Good profit if he gets the price, and I can't see it today so maybe he has.

Crikey, glad I invested 29quid then. Mind you, still pretty good at 46quid tbh.
Lovely very over-engineered stand, especially for the money, although you need a good floor space for it.
A bit of tyre boot on the clamp just to make sure it won't scratch the frame and now it is better than i could imagine.

I got the last one from the Bailleston store in Glasgow yesterday.

Opened it up about half an hour ago to find the threads stripped in the nut that goes on the end of the bolt through the bike clamp. I've now got to wait up to two weeks for the manufacturers to send a replacement, they've insisted on sending me a complete new clamp even though I said I only want a bolt and nut.

On the subject of the clamp, from what I've seen of it so far it looks to me as if it will foul the cables when it's wound up tight.

It's probably worth the thirty quid, but not much more.
