Lidl bike computer broken

Just returned it to lidl, gave me a full refund after it stopped displaying the current speed. I did the usual thing and changed the battery first , but still no joy. Real shame though as i only bought it at last months promotion, and had been pleased with it. Customer services checked round local stores for any left over stock but i knew there was little chance. Still i suppose you get what you pay for.

Mines still going strong at the moment, but you never know.
I must admit there's a lot on them for the price, I've a feeling winter and the wet weather may see mine off!

That's a shame. Was it still recording other data?

Mine's still going strong (or it was), but I swapped it over for a Cat Eye.

I'll happily let you have it if you want. It's just sitting in my spares box, doing nothing.

My one gave up for quite a while on my mini-tour (see riders tales)

I eventually fixed it by repositioning the sensor. It seems very sensitive to the magnet not being aligned properly. It started with an intermittent problem - with the speed flicking up and down very quickly, then went off altogether. It has been ok recently, despite me hitting some hard bumps.

Hi Hydra, yes it was still recording other data but the main thing you want ..current speed had gone. If yours is ok i'll have it thanks and i'll pay the postage as long as it doesn't exceed £3.99 cheers.

Yes i thought of this but everything was secure and aligned. The tenths were displaying but not the rest of the speed.

Touch wood apart from being a pain to operate (a fidgety to set) my cheap wired Lidl computer is still going strong, its about 4 or 5 years old.

Shouldn't be a problem about postage. A 1st class stamp should suffice and I can source a few for free

Just PM me your address and I'll post it out tomorrow.

What will you do with that extra £4.99  Don't spend it all at once!!

Mine is still going strong at the moment, out of interest how much was a new battery, i get the feeling the battery may be more than the computer.

Eh? it was only £3.99! I wouldn't be quite as extravagant to pay £4.99 ;) The new battery was about £1.60.

2 aldi wired in mine and my sons bikes. Worked faultlessly for two years and have both recently stopped receiving. Suspect wires as batteries replaced. Gonna buy a new one when the sale comes up soon.
