I am writing about the standards of driving around cyclists by First Bus drivers over past couple of weeks. I am a cycle commuter travelling between Bolton and Salford each day.
Whilst I have had problems in the past with First Buses passing far too close, and cutting in too soon, I have to say that I have noticed a vast improvement in standards of driving since about 2 weeks ago. Drivers have been allowing plenty of space when overtaking, and ensuring that they are fully past me before they move back in.
First Bus and its drivers are to be congratulated for this improvement, and I hope this will result in your company being seen as setting a good example to drivers of other vehicles. Thank you.
