That's the one.

Sadly we're not really helping the OP with his question

As has been said, Leeds, Thorner, Bramham, Tadcaster is a nice ride in its own right.
The cycle path on the A64 to York is a bit soulless but quick enough.
Then Stamford Bridge and the back roads - looks a nice route on the map.
If you fancy tackling Garrowby Hill (think of the feet climbed) , the scenic route from Fridaythorpe towards Bridlington (B1251) is a nice run and fairly quiet from a traffic point of view, then go via Burton Fleming and Hunmanby to Filey and pick up NCN R1 to Scabby.

no local cyclist would use the A64 from York to Scarborough (its bad enough crossing it) slip down the south side around Malton then onto Burton Fleming and finish on the old dis used coast road into Scarborough. great ride

Rode the A64 path between Taddy & York earlier this year, nice smooth surface & better than anticipated, as others have said I would not use A64 beyond York, a bit of a detour but a good route if you have the time is the road through Dalby via Thornton Le Dale, this is a nice approach to Scarborough, as was mentioned up thread from York, A166 towards Stamford Bridge, Buttercrambe, Malton, then Thornton Le Dale, Dalby, Hackness, Scalby, Scarborough.

Thanks so much for your replies everyone, it seems to be avoiding the A64 after York is a must, the Selby one seems really good. Massive kudos on your ride "Nickyboy" again Thank you so much
