LBS wheel true- should I expect any after service care?

as pointed out usually after one goes the rest follow - usually drive side rear.
In the past Ive had the lbs rebuild the wheel with quality stainless steel spokes, and since having that done (on a few wheels - i have a few bikes) I've not had one break. Replacing them yourself is easy too indeed if you get a new wheel use the old one to practice!
And if you want a wheel to last get a good one - handbuilt with good quality spokes or even specify the rims/hubs etc and ask your lbs to build one.
 
Get into building your own wheels - it's good fun and you know that you've got something that's well built with the components you want.
