This is a locally produced gin. Not wonderful but it's only 10cedis (about £1.50) a bottle.
But doesn't most everyone mix it? Apart from @Spiderweb of course. Cant imagine drinking it neat.Aldi Gin keeps winning awards in 'blind' tastings, even the 'under a tenner' variety.

No I drink 'Martini' made to the Noel Coward 'recipe', fill a glass with gin and wave it in the general direction of Italy. But doesn't most everyone mix it? Apart from @Spiderweb of course. Cant imagine drinking it neat.
A lifelong Gordons and sugar-loaded Schweppes fan here. My only attempts at hipsterdom comprise of a slice of lime or cucumber. Also, hating flat tonic, I only buy the stuff in small cans.
To me gin tastes how I imaged petrol to taste. Mrs D loves the stuff.
The Bruni collins gin is the only gin I would drink neat, it has such an intense beautiful flavour, a bit liqueur like and quite sweet. All other gins I would mix with various tonics, maybe a slither of cucumber or even a flamed piece of orange peel. But doesn't most everyone mix it? Apart from @Spiderweb of course. Cant imagine drinking it neat.
Like most Aldi own brands, it's excellent quality and very tasty. Those who suggest otherwise are suffering from brand snobbery. We've a bottle of Lidl's own brand, Hortus on the go (not for much longer) and I'd highly recommend it.

I had one of those, it evaporated in only a couple of days.
