I use Aldi's Selle royal narrow (made in Italy) on all my bikes, the most confy thing ever. Done over a hundred miles on rough terrain with no nether region problems.
Every time I buy a new bike I try to stick with the stock saddle for a hundred miles or so, but it never works for me, just as well every time Aldi brings the saddle I buy one, otherwise I would not have had one for my latest acquisition
I rarely wear padded shorts.

My wife had a similar issue.

Our local shop (Hoops Velo in Farnham) let her borrow a saddle to try out. The real answer for her however is that the bike she has, just doesn't fit her. She is reaching into the handlebars and and that is putting pressure into the wrong place. The long term answer therefore is a new bike!
