Just been out for a wonderful ride in sunshine – so different from yesterday's blizzard.
Anyway, all my good cycling kit was in the wash (I have clearly failed in my Domestic Goddess role) so I decided to borrow Uncle James's bib longs; he never wears them anyway.
Firstly, men's bib longs demonstrate once again a common difference in physique between men and women - we have longer legs and shorter bodies. When wearing his longs the crotch part left a 5cm air gap from my underwear as the legs were too short and the elasticated shoulder straps were loose and fairly pointless. They also didn't work very well with a lady's upfront, erm, assets.
So a question for you ladies out there - do ladies' bib longs overcome these disadvantages? Are they worth it? I liked not having a tight elasticated waist, but not at the expense of a draught down south and flopping straps.
