I got one of these as a "be seen" light, to pair up with my Hope "see" light.
They're really good.

Well built, the light patterns are eye catching, and the whole thing is very well weather sealed. USB rechargeable, and the USB plug is integrated into the body of the light, so you don't have to fiddle around with rubber socket covers.

Great light, IMO. There is also a 1 LED version which is £10 cheaper.

I saw these at my lbs .... Great lights but expensive for a 1" inch square bit of plastic ;)
Would it fit/attach to a helmet you think?

Possibly. The mounting mechanism is built in to the light, so might be a bit fiddly. Best bet is to take your helmet in and see if they'll let you try.

I agree they are slightly pricey, but the build quality is really good.

Thinking about getting one for the rear of my helmet to replace the Knog frog that decided to keep turning its self on. Might just fit but for the price they are charging I might look at other lights for the helmet

Hi benb,

I bought one of these and after the initial charge I'm now attempting a first full recharge... but I'm not entirely satisfied.

When I have it connected to the USB - either to my laptop or directly into a USB plug, I have to perform a certain amount of subtle jiggling to get the charging light to come on and stay on. It seems very sensitive, and needs to be mm correct otherwise the light will just go out. This doesn't fill me full of confidence that the connection is all that great.

In fact with the USB plug I can't get the light to come on unless I continue holding it. As soon as I let go, it goes out.

Before I return it from whence it came, are you having similar issues? If so, I might put up with it, but if not I think I'd like one that charges properly. I don't really want to put up with it, because as Kies correctly states, they're not cheap for what they are.

Mine is rock solid, and I'm really impressed with the build quality overall, so maybe a faulty unit.
I'd return it, but maybe try it in another USB port first just in case it's the port not the light.

Cheers benb. I've tried it in 4 ports of my work laptop, two of my personal laptop, and the charger plug for my iPhone and it's the same in each unfortunately.

I plug it in and the light comes on, then when I let go of the unit it goes off. I then need to give it a slight adjustment like a small tap or to press down on it for a second to get it to stay on.

I'm not convinced that it's even charging properly... It's been plugged for 6 hours now and I still have an orange light. What's the charging time for yours? Some charge is getting in as it works now when it didn't this morning, but in would have thought 6 hours would have been enough?

Mine charges in 3 hours, tops. That will differ depending on whether you're plugging it into a powered USB hub or just a port on your PC (which will have lower power).

Sounds like a faulty unit, return it.

Checked it now and it is charged... But will return.

Thanks for your help
