I just started some gentle short-distance jogging last month in addition to cycling - just 2-5k runs around my local park with my dog. But I have been forced to stop completely due to too much pain on the inside of both knees (just below the knee). For a whole week now I have been hobbling about and I am on painkillers daily. Just walking around the house now is a major effort. I used to do a fair bit of running in past years although until recently I haven't ran since 2012. I am always careful to warm-up/down and I have no other injuries. I am considering seeing a private sports physio, but before I do I am wondering if it's my GP I should be seeing instead? I am slightly worried that I've done more damage. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thanks.
