KMC Missing link

OK it is supposed to split really easy, it doesn't and I have had the compressor pliers on it and it broke them, so without using a chain splitter, how can I get this thing split...........:eek:
some kmc missing links are non-reusable i.e. they are not designed to come apart once fitted - I suspect you might have this type!

As mentioned a few times above, make sure the area around the missing link is clean! Squeeze and push/pull.

...and for those that don't know. Decathlon sell missing links and they are genuine KMC links. Bought a pack of 2 some while ago for around £3.

Yes, and handy they are too although I have had an issue with the particular ones in Decathlon repackaging failing prematurely. Not sure if it was just an odd one, the second link in the pack seems to have held out
