Thanks all new chain arrived today with a missing link connector. I will be fitting it on Saturday afternoon all being well.

Just cleaned my KMC 9 speed chain on the commuter. 1% stretch at around 1660kms. A bit disappointed but rather replace it than risk it snapping.

I must change the chain on my commuter as well,lasted mebbe 4 months over winter and i am hoping that the cassette will be ok.

Mine lasted ages and just replaced with a new one. Must say that they seem the best value chain out there.

Well after having to rethread the chain owing to not watching where the chain ran through the rear derailleur it is now fitted and on the stand the changes are smooth and quiet. Just need to try it out on the road now.

My 8sp KMC lasted nearly 7,000 miles, and probably a bit more left in it.
