I'm not convinced it will work, given that to generate 6W of power, you have to be doing 32.5km/h (~ 20mph). That just doesn't sound efficient enough. For the electronics experts (I'm certainly not one): would this generate enough power at e.g. 13mph? More importantly, will you be able to recover from the trauma of looking like a complete dork?

The last comment was in jest, by the way: if they can make this a success, then more power to them (excuse the pun).

Why would anyone want that on the front of their bike?

So it's going to charge up batteries and run headlights while generating as mush power as a dynamo? No chance! I notice that to generate 3W you need a windspeed of just 6m/s. Sounds so much easier than nearly 14 mph.

How is this better than a dynamo. Is windpower somehow free for cyclists. I always thought that cycling air flow was something I generate with my work.
The only kind of impeller or turbine that makes any sense is one on a sailing boat or aircraft.
