There's always hope but we do need asymmetric tactics.Face it we are up against the might of the car industry - it's always going to be a tough fight. This is the lobby that got speed cameras (which actually caught people breaking the law) turned off - not much hope for cycle lanes then.

The problem will never, ever, be solved while those responsible for implementing solutions are also beholden to an electorate dominated by a bone idle lazy car driving majority. The solution needs to be very firmly and irretrievably separated from any aspect of electoral and party politics if is ever to succeed.
