yes, stretching will help with your reach and aches, dont be afraid too to make micro adjustments here and there to the bike to fit you. to be fair you bought the smallest size they have so i would assume mekk think its ok for short guys.

but everyones own geometry is different so you could for example have a proportionately longer torso and arms even if your legs are short...

as has been said, simply try pushing the saddle forward, assuming your not massivly heavy you can push it slightly past the max extent that will be marked on the saddle rail, a mate at work by contrast who is pretty short has his saddle pushed all the way back to flatten his ride position. he does 200 milers so i wouldnt say its a pro

Thank you Harry. There's not a lot I can do about it now anyway. Even if it is not the right size, unfortunately I was stupid and cut the bottom of the seat post off....... So, even if I wanted to I couldn't send it back!! (Please don't ask me why I did it! lol.) Anyway, I am stuck with it and will just have to make the best of what I have. I cannot afford another bike, not for a long while......... I went for a ride today after putting the original seat back on and it seemed slightly better, I just needed to re-adjust the seat a bit.

You could always buy a new seat post then have a chat with wiggle and see what they say?
Good luck anyway

Thank you all for your help and replies! I will contact wiggle to see what they say although I don't hold up much hope!
Screenman, I have only recently started doing stretches, I realised I needed to work on my flexibility and that it would help! ;)
